A while ago we sent out a customer survey to learn what new features you wanted to see in The HOTH. By far, the most requested was a Customer Portal. And we’re super excited to bring you just that today!
The HOTH customer portal brings together all of your data, freeing your inbox, eliminating deliverability issues and creating greater transparency in every order. We’ve also built tools to serve the unique needs of agencies and SEO professionals, including bulk order uploading and a soon to be released ordering & reporting API (which will be a game changer, by the way). All of this means that you can build more links, spend less time and make more money than ever before.

If you’ve placed any HOTH orders in the past 3 months, you probably already have a Customer Portal account. You should have received a system email with your credentials. If you can’t find it or aren’t sure if you have an account yet, go here and click “Forgot password.” If you already have an account, your password will be emailed to you immediately. Otherwise, you’ll want to create a new one by placing your first order at the new http://www.thehoth.com/order.

The Truth
Hi,
I don’t have a credit card. Why is PayPal not supported anymore?
Great question.
Simply put, PayPal is very difficult to integrate into a “card-on-file” type of system like we’ve built. More specifically, PayPal’s proprietary permission handling makes it a particularly unfriendly choice for web application. This is why every app out there takes credit cards, but relatively few accept PayPal.
With that said, we do acknowledge that PayPal is a primary payment method for some users and we’d like to accomodate them. Please email sales@thehoth.com if PayPal is a make or break issue for you and we’d be glad to help you out.
Although we hate to inconvenience even a single user, ultimately, we felt that sacrificing on-site PayPal support was a relatively minor cost in exchange for the huge benefits that the Customer Portal introduces to our users. Again, just email sales@thehoth.com and we’ll get you taken care of.
What you say about paypal is not true — you can have cards stored at paypal and be granted access as a merchant to make arbitrary charges to those cards. You need to study the Paypal API a little more…
